Surprise

Yesterday we had a big surprise. A week ago we were interviewed by Tommy Goldsmith with the Raleigh News and Observer. Yesterday the article was on the FRONT page of the N&O. We certainly didn’t expect that kind of coverage. Still smiling about that.

OK, today. Ed starts his job of making a list of all the spare parts and tools that we pack in Stewball. Before the cars are shipped to China, we have to have a complete list of everything that goes in the car. We are not allowed to ship personal items, so clothing will be packed in the two suitcases we fly with, but parts and tools cross the ocean in the car. Tools are the real challenge, not a mental challenge, just an organizational one. Because this means, not “one set of closed-end wrenches”, it means 1- 5/8″ inch closed-end wrench, 1- 1/2 ” closed-end wrench. You get the picture. Long list, lots of time. Boring and time-consuming job. But it can’t be put off  much longer. Then copy the list for us as well as for the Chinese government. And did I tell you we have to get Chinese driver’s licenses? The test is in Chinese but no one fails! That will be a keepsake.

And don’t forget our competition. We’ve expanded it to include the most entertaining comment on these blog entries, not just the questions.  Let us hear from you.
