April 14, 2012: One year ago today we left NY to drive west across the US, Asia and Europe. It was the start of the World Race 2011 and certainly the start of one of the adventures of our lifetime. This event commemorated the more famous world race of 1908. Some of those that left NY with us only planned to complete the first leg across the US but along with three other cars we completed the entire 14,000 miles. We blogged this entire event and if you missed this, you can read the blog archives dating from April, 2011.
This was also the introduction of our novel, The Long Road to Paris. The actual launch date for the book, was April 3rd, the day we hosted a launch party at our home but the race was a big part of our plan to promote the book. So, in honor of the wonderful adventure and memories this trip provided and the end of the first year of books sales, we are giving away copies of the novel. We will provide signed copies and free shipping to the first 15 people who respond to this blog.
Sorry we can only ship to the 48 contiguous states. No international shipments.
You can contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org Please provide a shipping address and the name of the person (s) you would like the book dedicated to. Requests must be received soon so that we can ship before we leave on our next road adventure, the Trans-American Challenge from NY to Alaska, May 5.
Remember, if you already own The Long Road to Paris, books make great gifts!
Spies, sex, and secrets from WWII comprise this fast-paced novel. Set in a background of the first around the world race in 100 years. Half love story, half thriller, The Long Road to Paris includes international espionage, betrayal, lies and dangerous liaisons.
We look forward to hearing from you.
